I've been toying with this idea (painting aerial view of tulip fields) for a few years of tulip fields. My idea was to paint various small canvases to form one giant piece, but I like the way you did yours. Had not even thought about using masking tape to keep the lines straight but I can see how this would be a wonderful tool.
