Artist's Comments

Acrylic on canvas. I did this as a Christmas present for my mother some years ago. It was done from a painting from a German nun, sister Hummel. Her paintings and drawings were the basis for the little ceramic figurines called "Hummels" which come from Germany. My wife and I tend to give prints of this painting for newlyweds and expectant mothers as a blessing for the family.

Beautiful. The color balance and drawing style reminds me, just a little, of Strudwick, whom I adore. :nod: Nice one!

Thank you Deathgasm. Should always give credit to the original. Next time you are in a store that sells little ceramic figurines, take a look at a "Hummel" and you will see the style.
