Did you ever get an art idea that you kind of regretted? I wanted to do something different with the "Textured Pointillism" technique I've been playing with. All through working on the piece, I kept asking myself... "Why are you doing this?" I knew how long it was going to take. Just for one of my crazy ideas. If anyone wants an explanation... ask..
I'm guessing some people will like it, and others will hate it (my first critic... my wife... already hates it...)
Do you think I can use this for my Deviant ID? I used my head for the reference.....
Hello Mizza, i do not visit DA very often anymore, just saw your request today. I am OK with using the painting for your article if you are still-interested. Please include a credit for me if you do, and I would like a copy of the article when complete. Perhaps this is too late?
Thank you. When I go on a kick with a new technique, I try to explore the various ways the technique could be used (if you get a chance, check out my folder called "layered paintings" similar experiments). I am still exploring pointillism, and this piece was an idea. Of course you can see I have tried landscapes, portraits, still life with the technique, but this one was just trying to express an idea and my love of neuroscience.
Wow, a very intense piece. A lot to take in, there is a lot happening on the canvas. I think it portrays the energy and chaos of the mind very well, with a head that has been 'heated' with colliding thoughts and ideas. Really like this!
I've just heard of Pointillism the other day here on DA. I think your drawing is pretty amazing. Looking at it as close up as I could and its really cool. I'm sure it took a lot of time. You did a great job.
I am looking for a Image to illustrate my University's Magazine article on the conflict in Syria.
Could I have permission to use your image?
Thank you & Regards
