I'm tempted to go into the garden and paint dots on our flowers.... my wife would kill me

Sometimes I stare at floor tiles and see things

Homo Sapiens are estimated to have been on this earth for about 200,000 years.  I'm guessing 25 years is a high estimate for a new generation to be produced.. Thus there have been somewhere around 8,000 generations of "human beings" so far to evolve to the state we find ourselves in now.  My grandparents and all the 7,997 previous generations had no TV, Internet, Movies, a d Music was from singing only.  In the last and current generation we have inundated ourselves with external stimuli.  My questions are:  How can our brains, which have not been evolutionarily prepared for this accept it all?  Will the alterations in our brains (and more specifically the children of today) that happen from accepting all of this stimuli cause any fundamental change to our brains that will show up as a genetic mutated trait?  (Autism anybody?)
